CSB – house keeping / rules / guidelines:

1. ONLY RACERS WEARING PROPER HELMETS MAY REGISTER. ONLY REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE WINNER’S CIRCLE AND RAFFLE.

2. Skate smart. Skate safe. Skate again. Sketching is NOT allowed. Use bike paths when possible. Follow the rules of the road. Winning a deck isn’t worth risking your life or breaking a limb.

3. Use your manners; please. We are skating a public road – don’t damage property or other humans. Or living creatures. Please LOUDLY and politely say “On your left” or “On your right” when passing a runner / bicyclist / other skater. Don’t cut off vehicles.

4. We are skating Chicago – expect potholes, aggravated drivers, assorted bicyclists, distracted tourists…. keep your wits about you – and keep yourself and others safe.

5. This is a free event. Smile; skate, be safe, be stoked.

THE MEET PLACE & TIME:
Union Park (1501 West Randolph) at 11:30am; July 13, 2014.

FINISH LINE: Clarendon and Wilson – South East Corner.

Winner’s podium / post event raffle – Wilson Skate Park.

I HIGHLY suggest carpooling if you plan to drive. I would also suggest to those who drive to the event; to arrive at WILSON skate park no later than 10:30am. Park your car there – then skate to WILSON RED LINE. Take that towards downtown; then transfer to the GREEN LINE towards Harlem; OR PINK LINE towards 54/Cermak. Regardless of which train you take, exit Ashland. This will let you off at Union Park. A single ride on the CTA is $2.25; if you do not have a Ventra Card, bring cash (exact change). This commute from the Wilson Red Line Stop to Union Park will take about an hour on an average, normal day.
